RECOMMENDED CARE:

1) Do not under any circumstances remove the drag knob or the two-hole nut in the center of the drag knob.

2) Always make sure that the packing cap is tight, especially before using the reel for the first time or after reversing the recovery direction. Be sure to periodically check that the cap is securely inserted; It must always be tightened firmly by hand, do not use a tool. If installed correctly, the packing plug should be seated fully on the drive cylinder.

3) The drive system is designed to operate without lubrication. Do not use any type of oil or lubricant in or around the drag system. You can apply a small amount of WD-40 to the recovery handle to remove any dirt buildup between the handle and the handle shaft.

4) Fresh Water Use: Occasionally rinse the reel thoroughly under fresh running water and clean the spool and frame to remove any debris or dirt buildup. Be sure to clean the spool pin and keep it free of debris.

Saltwater Use: Be sure to rinse your reel under fresh running water after each use in a salty environment. Occasionally, flush the clutch by doing the following:

1) Remove the coil, unscrew the packing cap and remove the red and silver clutch assembly.

2) Thoroughly rinse all components, including the inside of the drive cylinder, with fresh running water.

3) Allow all components to dry completely before reassembling them.
