TAIL UST EXPRESS SINK
The fastest sinking fish finders on the market – period! The UST Express Sink is a series of fully sinking lines with weight/load rates from 750grain-Sink 5 to 950grain-Sink 8. These lines are designed to allow the angler to dredge the fly in deeper pools or slow the swing in faster currents.
- Designed in collaboration with FFE specifically for the needs of European salmon fishermen
- The fastest sinking shooting heads on the market
- Powerful taper turns heavy flies easily while maintaining precise fly delivery
- No hinge provides a straight line connection to the fly
- The Shooting Texture allows the line to be easily lifted from the depths before the next cast
- Brightly colored tracer helps identify the back of the head in low light conditions
- New and stronger rings
TECHNOLOGY:
- Scientific Angler Line Identification:
Discover the scientific angler line identification system. SA•ID is an innovative line tracking system that allows you to identify your lines at a glance. Who knows if a muzzle is 200 grain or 300? Just look at the SA•ID. The SA•ID can be found on the first 1-2 feet of the tip section of the line.
- Shooting Texture:
Scientific Anglers' shooting texture features precisely replicated hemispherical cavities, similar to those found on the surface of a golf ball. This evolution of our texturing technology has less texture on its surface, so it looks like a traditional fly line but offers the benefits of texturing. The result is a line that lasts longer, floats higher, casts easier and, above all, fishes better.
- Sonar Sinking Technology:
For every fish eating above, there are ten eating below. Our SONAR sinking technology takes the flies where the fish are: below the surface. Using proprietary tungsten formulations and a unique taper, SONAR sinking technology knocks down flies and keeps them there.
- Designed by Flyfish Europa
To meet the specific needs of European fly fishermen, Flyfish Europe has collaborated with Scientific Anglers to design, manufacture and engineer a range of fly lines that are carefully attuned to the conditions faced by fly fishermen across the European continent.
- Advanced shooting technology
Scientific Anglers' patented dry-slick technology provides seamless line glide, allowing the line to shoot farther as it moves through the guides. Lines with AST easily shed dirt, algae and other parasitic particles, allowing the lines to cast farther, float higher and stay cleaner than traditional lines.
RECOMMENDED CARE:
Cleaning with soap and water on a cloth removes most dirt, but cleaning swabs work even better. If properly cleaned, your lines will cast better and last longer, certainly a good trade-off for a couple of minutes of line maintenance. To use the cleaning swab, pinch the swab over the line so that the abrasive, non-foam side touches the line. Pull the line through the pad while maintaining some tension. Repeat this process until some of the fly line color is visible on the pad. Clean your lines every 2-3 rides, or whenever you think dirt is hindering their performance. Cleaning swabs are easy to carry in your vest or gear bag and can be used at any time, wet or dry. Please note that line dressing can be used to reduce drag during competitions or in practical casting scenarios, but we do not recommend it for fishing.
