Two years ago we came up with the idea of designing a new line system for two-handed rods. To gain further insight into the Scandinavian market and the needs of Scandinavian salmon anglers, we started by interviewing a number of Scandinavian fly tackle shops. In doing so, we learned more about how to improve and optimize existing line ranges on the market. Full of input and enthusiasm, we then sat down and designed the first prototypes. During the development and testing phases, we collaborated with some of the most experienced salmon fly fishermen, fly casters and tackle shop representatives in Norway. We are proud to say that the resulting range of lines and tips is the most thoroughly tested and fine-tuned range of lines we have ever designed for scientific anglers. The lines and tips work equally well for both the beginner and the expert, regardless of which modern high-modulus double-hander you might choose to cast.

- Tapered tips will spin both smaller and larger salmon flies. The tips will also improve most other heads (from competing brands) on the market

- Tips range from 9 to 18´ in six different sink densities

- No zipper in the transition between belly and tip. It makes the fusion harmonious and the rings fluid

- Textured coating makes it easier to remove the tips from the water before casting

- Scientific Anglers integrated Line-ID, so you can always identify the right tip for the right job

TECHNOLOGY:

- Scientific Angler Line Identification: Discover the scientific angler line identification system. SA•ID is an innovative line tracking system that allows you to identify your lines at a glance. Who knows if a muzzle is 200 grain or 300? Just look at the SA•ID. The SA•ID can be found on the first 1-2 feet of the tip section of the line.

- Shooting Texture: Scientific Anglers' shooting texture features precisely replicated hemispherical cavities, similar to those found on the surface of a golf ball. This evolution of our texturing technology has less texture on its surface, so it looks like a traditional fly line but offers the benefits of texturing. The result is a line that lasts longer, floats higher, casts easier and, above all, fishes better.

- Welded Loops: Exceptionally smooth and durable, our Welded Loops produce smoother casts and easier turnover with a seamless transition from fly line to loop, ensuring softer landings and cleaner pickups. The sleek design also maintains buoyancy for improved line buoyancy and allows for quicker connections between line and leaders or line and backing.

- Sonar Sinking Technology: For every fish eating above, there are ten eating below. Our SONAR sinking technology takes the flies where the fish are: below the surface. Using proprietary tungsten formulations and a unique taper, SONAR sinking technology knocks down flies and keeps them there.
