FLY SALMON SERIES CLASSIC

This is our largest fly series. We call them classics because of the way they are tied: a wing dividing the front hackles and with the balancing 1/2 turbo cone as head. Most of our flies originates from this family, the complex fly with all ingredients. To us these are the most fun to both tie and fish – they are the classics of our time!

THE FLY

MODEL THE WITCH

The Witch is a for sure a magic lady, it’s a fantastic fly. Again, the black and green combination. Here the fl. lime green makes it more of a sunshine fly, yes, she’s best in clear waters. We fish this fly in many versions down to a small one on the smallest TTT tube. To dance it in the fastest water can be very exciting. Maybe it’s like this: the stronger the colour, the fresher the fish – you agree?

MODEL ZEBRA

One if our new favorites, an extra magic pattern. It has given us so many great catches in just a few years, it has now become one of the flies we every year catch the most fish on. The white/black/white wing has not only given the fly its name, it also gives the fly extra contrast. We must say we like the classic touch the teal hackle gives. We fish this as a general standard for clear water.

MODEL SILVER WILKINSSON

This spring favourite of ours has its origin from the classic fly with the same name. On the sunny clear day, cold water and fresh fish, this is a super effective fly. We have during long time taken many fish on the Silver Wilkinson colours. Now with the new tungsten metallic cone it looks deadlier than ever! We fish this from medium down to quite small. It loves cold and clear rivers.

MODEL NANOOK

This little special fly got its name from the white powerful hunter in the north. Nanook is a clear water fly. Mikael very often vary his sunshine flies from light blue to light green. In this pattern, we mixed the colours and got a nice sunshine fly that works well in both the greenish and bluish river. This fly has been in Mikael’s box since the late 80’s.

MODEL BARRET BIMBO

This odd-looking fly actually looks a lot better wet in the water. The brutal hackle slims down and it swims beautiful. This is one of our favorite flies for Em’s big sea trout. It carries Mikael’s favourite pool’s name where it caught many nice sea trout, a few over 20 lbs. We fish it slow and let the seductive hackle do the trick. A good silhouette and lots of motion, that’s what these big trout love.
