This is our largest fly series. We call them classics because of the way they are tied: a wing dividing the front hackles and with the balancing 1/2 turbo cone as head. Most of our flies originates from this family, the complex fly with all ingredients. To us these are the most fun to both tie and fish – they are the classics of our time!

MODEL JOCK SCOTT

The classic of all classics! The most famous of all salmon fly patterns, this masterpiece by James Wright is legendary. Some anglers say you cannot consider yourself a true salmon angler without catching a salmon on a classic Jock Scott. This fly, in one version or another, or in patterns inspired by it, can be found in almost all salmon anglers' boxes and wallets. The black and yellow colors make this a superb all-around fly, effective in almost any conditions. Try it, feel the wings of time and tradition, and enjoy. We have kept the original colour concept, enhanced it with our SSS synthetics, and transformed it into a soft, modern, drop-formed classic that will swim and outfish the original feather wing.

MODEL BLACK DOCTOR

This black member of the Classic Doctor family is perhaps the most copied of all Doctors. James Wright's magical fingers crafted the original fly back in the 1800s. Black Doctors have caught thousands of great fish and continue to do so. We've retained the original colour concept, enhanced it with our SSS synthetics, and transformed it into a soft, modern classic that swims beautifully and outperforms the original feather wing.

MODEL SILVER GREY

This discreet classic sunshine fly has, in many variations, been with us since the early eighties. It’s one of those timeless patterns that remains highly effective even today. We favour it in clear rivers, fishing it on bright sunny days as well as when clouds roll in and a light, subtle fly is the best option. What makes this modern version so effective is its translucent and sparsely tied appearance. We fish the Silver Grey in all sizes, adapting to the conditions at hand. We've retained the original colour concept, enhanced it with our SSS synthetics, and transformed it into a soft, modern, drop-formed classic that will swim and outfish the original feather wing.

MODEL THE BASTARD

This crossover between two of our most popular flies, Pahtakorva and Nasty Banana, has proven to be just as effective as expected. It's a superb pattern for both coloured and gin-clear rivers. We fish them in various sizes, from big and fat 10 cm to more sparsely tied smaller versions. The spey-like ostrich hackle gives this fly an extra sexy swimming look. Few crossbreeds have so quickly proven to be so incredibly good. The Bastard may be a bastard, but it's a bloody good one!

MODEL THE WICKED ONE

Yes, this is a wicked version of the highly effective black and orange theme. Soft sweeping heron hackles and deep burnt orange soft hair against a black main wing give this fly a superb colour combination and a lively swing through even the smoothest pools. Enhanced with orange-dyed JC substitutes in both the tail and sides, it makes a striking impression. We fish them in whiskey-coloured water and even on days when the water has a brown tint. A great fly in all sizes.

MODEL THUNDER & LIGHTNING

Yet another of James Wright's magical creations. The Thunder & Lightning colours are as classic as they come. The world has seen thousands of variations, and even our fly series includes several inspired by Wright's masterpiece. These colours are perfect for humus-coloured rivers and especially effective on cloudy days. Even in clear rivers, salmon eagerly take the Thunder & Lightning during a rainstorm. We've preserved the original colour concept, enhanced it with our SSS synthetics, and transformed it into a soft, modern, drop-formed classic that will swim and outfish the original feather wing.
