GORE-TEX® PRO SHELL: GORE-TEX® PRO SHELL outerwear is waterproof, exceptionally lightweight and offers the ultimate in breathability, durability and long-lasting comfort. Constructed with a fabric backing, GORE-TEX® Pro Shell garments slide easily over other layers and offer exceptional internal tear and abrasion resistance. The GORE-TEX® membrane is the heart of all GORE-TEX® products. The GORE-TEX® membrane contains 9 billion microscopic pores per square inch. These pores are so small that water droplets cannot pass through, but water vapor can still escape. Water from outside cannot penetrate and cold winds cannot pass through, but sweat can escape easily, keeping you dry and comfortable all day. GORE-TEX® fabrics are created by integrating the GORE-TEX® membrane between an outer fabric and a lining.

RECOMMENDED CARE:

Tip no. 1 way to prolong the life of a wader is to dry it. It is important to dry waders after each use. We recommend drying the inside first (if damp) and then the outside. When drying the outside you can raise the gravel guards until your feet are dry and then lower them to dry the rest of the wader

- Washing: Use a front load washing machine or hand wash. Use cold water and normal detergent that does not contain bleach. Once you've washed your waders, make sure you dry them properly, starting by drying the inside first. Never put your waders in the dryer, the heat will negatively affect the seam tape of your waders and will void your warranty.

- Fit: We offer more sizes than anyone else, a good fit goes a long way in extending the life of your wader. Make it clear that people should use their exact measurements as we have already provided extra room for layering and movement.

- General care: Do not store inside the car for long periods of time. Excessive heat will damage the waders.

- Use a mat: Always wear waders using a protective mat to protect your neoprene feet from rocks.

- Proper layering: Don't wear jeans under waders. Jeans are highly abrasive when worn on waders from the inside out. More importantly, jeans and sweatpants don't transfer moisture away from the body. Use proper layering (to view our layering collection, go here). Using layers like these will help wick moisture away from the body and aid the waders' ability to breathe.

- Stains: Most stain removers will work well on our waders. As long as the stain remover doesn't contain bleach you should be fine.
