TAIL SONAR TRANSPARENT SINKING 30
So part of the equation is putting the flies in front of the fish. The next part is to not scare them while they do it. Our SONAR Sink 30 Clear fly line offers the same casting benefits as the SONAR Sink 30 cone, but replaces a 30′ slow sinking clear head. When stealth is not an option, the best choice is to walk away.
- 30' intermediate low visibility sinking head with maneuvering line for better casting and control
- Intermediate racing line with ST+ slick additive
- High durability and low tangle
- For hot climates
- Intermediate sinking: 1.25 ips
- Monofilament core
TECHNOLOGY:
Advanced Shooting Technology
Scientific Anglers' patented dry-slick technology provides seamless line glide, allowing the line to shoot farther as it moves through the guides. Lines with AST easily shed dirt, algae and other parasitic particles, allowing the lines to cast farther, float higher and stay cleaner than traditional lines.
Scientific Anglers Line Identification
Discover the scientific angler line identification system. SA•ID is an innovative line tracking system that allows you to identify your lines at a glance. Who knows if a muzzle is 200 grains or 300? Just look at the SA•ID. The SA•ID can be found on the first 1-2 feet of the tip section of the line.
Sonar Sinking Technology
For every fish eating above, there are ten eating below. Our SONAR sinking technology takes the flies where the fish are: below the surface. Using proprietary tungsten formulations and a unique taper, SONAR sinking technology knocks down flies and keeps them there.
Welded Loops
Exceptionally smooth and durable, our Welded Loops produce smoother casts and easier turnover with a seamless transition from fly line to loop, ensuring softer landings and cleaner pickups. The sleek design also maintains buoyancy for improved line buoyancy and allows for quicker connections between line and leaders or line and backing.
RECOMMENDED CARE:
Cleaning with soap and water on a cloth removes most dirt, but cleaning swabs work even better. If properly cleaned, your lines will cast better and last longer, definitely a good trade-off for a couple of minutes of line maintenance. To use the cleaning swab, pinch the swab over the line so that the abrasive, non-foam side touches the line. Pull the line through the pad while maintaining some tension. Repeat this process until some of the fly line color is visible on the pad. Clean your lines every 2-3 rides, or whenever you think dirt is hindering their performance. Cleaning swabs are easy to carry in your vest or gear bag and can be used at any time, wet or dry. Please note that line dressing can be used to reduce drag during competitions or in practical casting scenarios, but we do not recommend it for fishing.
