TAIL FREQUENCY BOOST WILLOW
Let's tell the truth. No one will ever turn down a little extra help with their cast. Fortunately, the Frequency Boost, built in half size, provides just that. This general purpose floating line loads quickly, turns large shallows, nymph rigs and streamers with ease and features a medium length head perfect for almost any freshwater application.
- Excellent multipurpose line
- Half a size heavier and more powerful than the Trout cone
- Better with larger, heavier flies
- Soft and easy to use
- Versatile head of medium length
- Braided multifilament core
TECHNOLOGY:
- Advanced Shooting Technology: Scientific Anglers' patented dry-slick technology provides seamless line glide, allowing the line to shoot farther as it moves through the guides. Lines with AST easily shed dirt, algae and other parasitic particles, allowing the lines to cast farther, float higher and stay cleaner than traditional lines.
- Welded Loop: Exceptionally smooth and durable, our Welded Loops produce smoother casts and easier turnover with a seamless transition from fly line to loop, ensuring softer landings and cleaner pickups. The sleek design also maintains buoyancy for improved line buoyancy and allows for quicker connections between line and leaders or line and backing.
RECOMMENDED CARE:
Do you think your floating line isn't floating as well as it used to or isn't as smooth as it used to be? The reasons and ways to solve this problem are probably quite simple. Fishing lines float because they are lighter than water and because they are hydrophobic; they repel water. In order for the lines to float at their best, both of these features must work. The density of the line will not change, it will not absorb water, it will not soak up and sink, but if it gets dirty it will not repel water well and will float lower in surface tension and may be dragged under water now then. The key to good flotation is to keep the lines clean so the hydrophobic surface works. Cleaning with soap and water on a cloth removes most dirt, but cleaning swabs work even better. Cleaned properly, your lines will float better, cast better and last longer, definitely a good compromise for a couple of minutes of line maintenance. To use the cleaning swab, pinch the swab over the line so that the abrasive, non-foam side touches the line. Pull the line through the pad while maintaining some tension. Repeat this process until some of the fly line color is visible on the pad. Clean your lines every 2-3 rides, or whenever you think dirt is hindering their performance. Cleaning swabs are easy to carry in your vest or gear bag and can be used at any time, wet or dry. Please note that line dressing can be used to reduce drag during competitions or in practical casting scenarios, but we do not recommend it for fishing.
