FREQUENCY SINK TIP 3
In moving water, getting flies below the surface while maintaining control can be a challenge. This is why sinking tip lines were introduced. We took this idea, put it at an affordable price, and came up with the Frequency Sink Tip. Featuring a 10′ Type III sink tip, the Frequency Sink Tip is ideal for streamer fishing from a boat, while wading, or just about anywhere except mall fountains.
- Ideal for streamers and submerged flies for trout, rainbow trout, salmon and bass in rough water
- Fast-sinking 10' tip tips fly through the water column
- Medium length head shape improves control
- Ideal for moving water
- Sinking speed: 2.5 – 4.0 ips (Type III)
- Braided multifilament core
TECHNOLOGY:
- Advanced Shooting Technology: Scientific Anglers' patented dry-slick technology provides seamless line glide, allowing the line to shoot farther as it moves through the guides. Lines with AST easily shed dirt, algae and other parasitic particles, allowing the lines to cast farther, float higher and stay cleaner than traditional lines.
- Welded Loop: Exceptionally smooth and durable, our Welded Loops produce smoother casts and easier turnover with a seamless transition from fly line to loop, ensuring softer landings and cleaner pickups. The sleek design also maintains buoyancy for improved line buoyancy and allows for quicker connections between line and leaders or line and backing.
RECOMMENDED CARE:
Cleaning with soap and water on a cloth removes most dirt, but cleaning swabs work even better. If properly cleaned, your lines will cast better and last longer, certainly a good trade-off for a couple of minutes of line maintenance. To use the cleaning swab, pinch the swab over the line so that the abrasive, non-foam side touches the line. Pull the line through the pad while maintaining some tension. Repeat this process until some of the fly line color is visible on the pad. Clean your lines every 2-3 rides, or whenever you think dirt is hindering their performance. Cleaning swabs are easy to carry in your vest or gear bag and can be used at any time, wet or dry. Please note that line dressing can be used to reduce drag during competitions or in practical casting scenarios, but we do not recommend it for fishing.
