Constructed with a fabric backing, GORE-TEX® Pro Shell garments slide easily over other layers and offer exceptional internal tear and abrasion resistance. The GORE-TEX® membrane is the heart of all GORE-TEX® products. The GORE-TEX® membrane contains 9 billion microscopic pores per square inch. These pores are so small that water droplets cannot pass through, but water vapor can still escape. Maintaining the TRU Zip is simple and will make it slide smoothly. To clean, simply rinse the zipper guides with fresh water. For optimal performance, lubricate the zipper after cleaning, before storing for an extended period, or to improve zipper performance. Spread liquid zipper lubricant along all surfaces of the zipper, then slide the zipper several times. Wipe off excess lubricant with a clean, dry cloth and you're ready to go.
